Bachata

(Sustantivo – Femenino) 

Género musical tradicional dominicano. la bachata es un género lento y romántico, aunque también puede ser rápido y animado con tonos altos de guitarra y teclado, que tiene raízes en el bolero y luego se volvió su propio género a finales de los 60, que cubre temas más melancólicos. Los instrumentos que se utilizan son: La guitarra eléctrica, el teclado, bajo eléctrico y tambores.

Bachata is a much slower and romantic genre when compared to other traditional Dominican ones though it can also become very upbeat and high-pitched in its tones; it stemmed from bolero but became its own genre in the late 60s, which covers the more melancholic themes of life. The instruments used are: The electric guitar, keyboard, electric bass and hand drums.
